Perfect for families and seniors who need just a few updated photos

  • Rather than utilizing props or formal posing, your lifestyle session will take a more organic approach, candidly capturing your family and details of life at home with your new baby

  • Gallery will be delivered within 21 days of your session

What does "Lifestyle Photography" mean?

Simplified, lifestyle photography is a type of candid photography, aiming to capture people in real-life moments, drawing genuine emotion. Images from your session often tell a story, capturing a treasured moment in time. I do not try to make you look stiff or unnatural. I will not ask your children to smile, and will often tell you NOT to look a the camera, but at each other. I strive to capture the beauty of your family's connection, as it happens naturally.

What if my family doesn't cooperate?

Kids will be kids. This is why I start with them to set a fun playful tone of our session. This also helps you as parents relax, knowing that your children will have a fun time. If we have a young child that might possibly cry, etc., don't worry! Snuggles make for some of the best photos. Often times, if they see an older sibling having fun they will join. Kids pick up on parents anxiety. Letting go will lead to the best types of sessions. I'm there to capture all of the real!

Do you pose newborns?

I have a lifestyle approach to all my sessions, which means I do minimal posing. I love photographs that have an organic, natural "unposed" look to convey authentic, genuine emotion.

Do you use props?

For newborn sessions, I will provide a neutral wrap, as well as draping blankets. I like to keep my images simple and clean, so I don't provide any sets or props, however, I'm thrilled to incorporate personal sentimental items such as a baby blanket or special stuffed animal.

For family sessions, I also like to keep my images simple, with a "less is more" philosophy, however, I'm happy to incorporate a favorite toy or family heirloom into your pictures if you wish. I will provide a neutral blanket for photos on the ground or damp surfaces.

The focus of your images shouldn't be props, but the emotion and connection of your family.

What can I expect after my session?

I often post some sneak peek images on my Instagram and Facebook accounts within 48 hours of your session. You will receive your edited images, via a private online gallery for instant download within 21 days of your session.

Can I post my images on social media?

Absolutely...please do...in fact I encourage it! When doing so, please give photo credit to Stacy Lea Photography (@stacyleaphotography). I kindly ask you to refrain from applying any filters, re-editing or cropping the image.

Where can I print my images?

The quality of printed images vary greatly from one source to the next. I recommend printing through Mpix or Artifact Uprising. I've found that the quality of "expedited" printers such as drugstores, big box stores or inexpensive online vendors is not as good, and the colors can be distorted and inconsistent.

I also have the ability to order your photographs and canvas products through a professional grade photo lab. This ensures the color of your images are correctly calibrated and your final product looks just as intended.
